Cary Grove Neighborhood Life Annual Connection:
On January 23rd, Cary Grove Neighborhood Life (CGNL) had its third annual CG Connection event for the Community to celebrate last year's accomplishments and honor outstanding volunteers. Among those many accomplishments were $2500 donations to the Cary Grove Food Pantry and $1200 to our local PADS sites, made possible by our Lemonade stand fund raiser led by Kelley Belmonte and Heather Marts. There were several home repair projects done by our "Love your Neighbor" team for families in need and a Random Act of Kindness $1 car wash and coffee give away. We caught people by surprise by sharing God's love when they least expected it. Some were eager to "pay it forward ", CGNL's vision, while others couldn't grasp the idea and tried to give the $1 back. It took three times to give away one gas card until it landed in the right hands. God was there using us to share His love. CGNL also honored two outstanding volunteers, Doug Parker (pictured) who's vision for serving his community made an impact this year when he led several home repair projects throughout the community. Heather Marts (pictured) led the woman's tea called "Generous-it-TEA" where women were challenged to anonymously buy someone a cup of coffee, and the lemonade stand fundraiser. Congratulations to these two amazing leaders.

Ephesians 4:4-6

Ephesians 4:4-6  We are all called to travel on the same road and in the same direction, so stay together, both inwardly and outwardly. We have one Master, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who rules over all, works through all, and is present in all. Everything we are and think and do is permeated with Oneness.

Mission Statement

Our Mission as an organization is to connect people who live within the geographic area of Cary & Fox River Grove, with opportunities to build relationships and serve together to help neighbors in need. When we take a few minutes to do random acts of kindness, "pay it forward" we like to say, all those involved are blessed.
