Community "Reach In Reach Out"

Way to go Cary and FRG! We have heard some great stories about our community this week. The terrible long power outage gave many folks a chance to Reach in and Reach Out by sharing their power or generators. There were cords strewn across many streets sharing power, kids sleeping in basements, using neighbors showers, sharing meals and on and on the stories go. Hopefully you got a chance to "Pay It Forward" this week. Here are some great words from one of our pastors:

Living without power for those couple days was a tangible reminder of how horribly tragic it is when Christ-followers go through everyday life without the daily infusion of supernatural power that is available to us from God. Paul’s prayer for the local church in Ephesus is something I’m praying for our church these days. Check out this “power prayer” for yourself:

“I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know...His incomparably great POWER for us who believe. That POWER is the same as the mighty strength He exerted when He raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come.” (Ephesians 1:18-21)

Is God’s power shut off in your life? You can have power today. Trust in Christ to give you life. Pray and ask God to give you the power you need to live the life He longs for you to lead. Rely on His power to fill and fuel you. Then live a life of faith every single day of your life—plugged-in to the “incomparably great power” of your God.

Ephesians 4:4-6

Ephesians 4:4-6  We are all called to travel on the same road and in the same direction, so stay together, both inwardly and outwardly. We have one Master, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who rules over all, works through all, and is present in all. Everything we are and think and do is permeated with Oneness.

Mission Statement

Our Mission as an organization is to connect people who live within the geographic area of Cary & Fox River Grove, with opportunities to build relationships and serve together to help neighbors in need. When we take a few minutes to do random acts of kindness, "pay it forward" we like to say, all those involved are blessed.
